The Death Of The Courtesy Wave
I have a beef with the drivers in our fair city. What in the fcuk ever happened to the simple courtesy wave? You know, when you’re in heavy traffic and the kindly old lady in the landau roof next to you wants to merge because some honk has parked where they shouldn’t during rush hour. You smile and let them in to the protest refrain of the drivers behind you. Then, no wave, no nod, no smile, no slightest perceptable change in the air around her head. I have seen this more and more. It’s getting such that I have little inclination to be a courteous driver myself. So, people, I implore you, give a simple courtesy wave when someone let’s you change lanes in traffic. It goes miles.
